Mikel Areta in a rumoured move to sign Barcelona midfielder Coutinho

Arsenal may have registered its interest in a race  to sign former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.

Philippe Coutinho is one of the players Barcelona Is preparing to move this summer as part of plans for the club to make some money and invest elsewhere.

Barcelona have spent around 130 million euros on the Brazilian in January 2018, it appears they are desperate to sell him off. 

Le19Sport is reporting that manager Mikel Areta is considering bringing the Barcelona midfielder to the Emirates but how Arsenal intends to do that is still unclear with its current financial status after over spending on Nicolas Pepe.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Leicester City have all shown keen interest in the Brazilian player.
