Nigerians have expressed mixed feelings over an apology tendered by the Federal Ministry of Communication and digital economy following a tweet by one its handlers that went viral.
The unnamed handler had sent a tweet on the official page of the ministry taking sides with the ministry's helmsman Dr Isa Pantami over an ongoing office space crisis between the minister and the chairman of Nigerians In Diaspora Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
The tweet read thus:
And in a swift response to concerns raised by Nigerians over the choice of words displayed in the tweet, the ministry quickly tweeted apologising for this singular act.
The ministry's apology however generated spontaneous reactions from Nigerians.
