FG DECLARES MONDAY AND TUESDAY AS PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

The Federal government has declared Monday the 25th of May and Tuesday 26th of May 2020 as public holidays to mark this year's Eid al-fitr celebrations.

The Eid celebrations is expected to take place on Saturday 23rd of May or Sunday the 24th of May, depending on the sighting of the moon.

This will mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan fasting but there are insuinations that this year's celebrations may be low key following the effect of the global pandemic.
