MALAGASY MEDICINAL PLANT, A CURE IN THE MIDST OF DEADLY PANDEMIC


Artemisia-based remedy, known as covid organics may have changed the course  of history at a time scientific clinical trials have failed to solve the puzzle around the novel corona-virus cure.


The Madagascar covid organics seems to be the long awaited answer to end the covid-19 pandemic, and this could change foreign perspectives of how traditional medicines and Africans are been gauged and accessed.


Many countries in Africa are embracing the Malagasy medicinal plant to fight and end the  deaths related to covid-19.


The Madagascar’s breakthrough  is expected to land in Nigeria soon.


It was gathered that the consignment coming to Nigeria has been dispatched to Equatorial Guinea from where it will be shipped to Abuja.


According to reports, the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 was preparing to receive the solution in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja.


The source said a decision will be taken when the herbal drink arrives in the country, the Nation reports.


“Before any food or drug can be administered in this country, there are certain protocols that must be followed. The government will not circumvent these protocols. We want a solution; we want the best for Nigerians.”

Already, the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD), the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), other bodies and experts have advised that COVID Organics undergo further analysis.


Nigeria and other countries are awaiting the decision of Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention on the Madagascar drug.


Nigeria has recorded 4399 cases of coronavirus and 143 deaths.


Africa’s most populous nation recently declared that it was looking at the option of local/traditional antidote.


The Ooni of Ife, Enitan Ogunwusi, had said that Nigeria has the potential to find an effective remedy to kill the coronavirus.


However, three drugs have so far proven their potency against coronavirus
