DOYIN OKUPE, WIFE RECOVERS FROM COVID-19

The former Senior Special Assistant on public affairs to ex-president Gooduck Jonathan, Doyin Okupe and his wife have both recovered from COVID-19 

Okupe had said he was discharged aalogside his wife atfter testing negative for the virus twice.

The PDP chieftain and his wife had been at the isolation centre in Sagamu in Ogun state after testing positive in April 


Okupe has, however, announced on Tuesday, May 12, that he and his wife have tested negative for the virus twice and have been discharged in the early hours of the day. 

The former presidential aide thanked the governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun, and the state's commissioner of health, Dr Tomi Coker. "I also thank the health workers under the leadership of Dr Olaitan and Dr Ayeni.

 It is incredible what dangerous and sometimes deamining sacrifices they paid, including very long hours of work stretching for a week at a time, all to ensure that we their patients under their care love. 


My wife and I are grateful to you all," Okupe said.

 He also prayed for the recovery of all the COVID-19 patients across the country. "May God in His Mercies heal all our people in various centres throughout the country and may it please Him to rid our nation of this dangerous scourge.
