A young lady who was violently shoved aside by an officer of New York city police department (NYPD) Dounya Zayer has spoken from her hospital bed.

She explained how the the NYPD officer who is  now identified as Vincent D'Adaraia pushed her while taking part in George Floyd's murder protest. The 46 year old black American man had died in police custody.

She dispelled insinuations that she attacked the officer at the first instance.

Miss Zayer said it was a peaceful procession that does not warrant the NYPD officers using force on people, who had come out to demonstrate against racial injustice.

The impact of the assault landed miss zayer on the hospital bed where she has been receiving treatment. She wondered why a police officer who should protect lives would attack an unarmed person.
