APC HOLDS NEC MEETING IN ASO ROCK, DISSOLVES NWC

The National Working Committee of the All progressives Congress has been dissolved and a caretaker committee chaired by the Governor of Yobe State Mai Mala Buni has been constituted.

This followed the conclusion of a National Executive Council Meeting (NEC) by the Victor Gaidom faction backed by president Mohammadu Buhari.

Gaidom, who is the deputy national secretary of the APC has been recognized by president Buhari as the authentic acting National Chairman of the party while disowning the faction loyal to the suspended National chairman of the party Adams Oshiomole.

The faction loyal to Oshiomole boycotted the NEC meeting, insisting that, it is illegal and unconstitutional, while emphasing that President Buhari had been wrongly advised on the crisis rocking the party.

In attendance at the NEC meeting on thursday, June the 25th which held at the presidential villa includes: president Mohammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Governor Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos State, speaker, House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila  amongst some other APC stalwarts.
