The Peoples Democratic party has described the death of Former  Governor of Oyo state and immediate acting National Chairman of the All progressives congress (APC) as a national tragedy and huge loss to the country.

The PDP in a statement it realised say it is still saddened and shocked by the news of the death of Senator Ajimobi, who the party believed died at a time the nation needed his wealth of experience and statesmanship.

The statement signed by the party's National Publicity secretary kola Ologbondiyan commiserates with his family members and his widow Mrs Florence Ajimobi and indeed the nation.

Senator Ajimobi is reported to have died at the age of 70, after suffering from a protracted covid-19 related complications.
