Former minister of Finance Ngozi okojo iweala has joined the National campaign against sexual violence in the country.
A large number of Nigerians across board in the past few days are saddened by recent events that has witnessed the simultaneous deaths of women as a result of rape.
First it was Uwaila Vera Omozuwa a 22 year old student of University of Benin who was battered, rape and murdered and in what looks like a quick succession another undergraduate student in Ibadan was raped outside her home.
These disturbing incidences has sparked outrage among a large percentage of Nigeria who are now clamouring for more robust and protective laws for women against sexual violence.
It is a course that is been championed by students, civil society organisations, well meaning Nigerians and every other concerned persons.
In the light of the foregoing, Mrs Okonjo-iweala had written to show her support for the campaign.
