D'BANJ'S ALLEGED RAPE: FORMER ATTORNEY GENERAL STEPS IN

Former Attorney General of Ogun State Mrs Abimbola Akeredolu (SAN) is now providing legal support for Seyitan Babatayo, the lady who accused afro-beat singer Dapo Oyebanjo popularly known as D'banj of rape.

Ms Babatayo made this known in a press statement she issued from where she is supposedly receiving therapeutic care,  according to the lady D'banj in connivance with some team of police officers dpstormed her apartment on june the 16th, seized her phone, and detained her in a police cell at ikeja for 48 hours.

She also alleged that she was forced to sign an undertaken after releasing her on June the 17th to only post contents approved by the singer's team on the social media.

Seyitan also wrote in the statement that D'banj and his team allegedly intimidated and coerced her while isolating her from her family members to retract all the statements she made against him and claim it was a publicity stunt.



Towards the end of the statement, the alleged rape victim, thanked Mrs Akeredolu for providing her with legal support while also appealing to the Attorney General if Lagos state to prosecute the matter.

This according to her will deprieve D'banj and his friends from allegedly influencing the case to their own advantage.
