NIGERIA HIGH COMMISSION IN GHANA UNDER CRIMINAL ATTACKS- GEOFFREY ONYEAMA

There seems to be an impending diplomatic crisis between Nigeria and Ghana following some demolition activities at the Nigeria High Commission premises in Accra.

The Federal government of Nigeria has reacted by condemning the development in strong terms.


According to the Minister of Foreign affairs Geoffrey Onyeama who described the incident as criminal attacks said unknown persons came to the premises of the mission in Accra with bulldozers to down pull down structures.




Onyeama wrote via his twitter handle "We strongly condemn two outrageous criminal attacks in Accra, #Ghana, on a residential building in our diplomatic premises by unknown persons in which a bulldozer was used to demolish the building."

Nigerians however expressed misgivings on the mission's demolition describing it as an affront against Nigeria's integrity.
