Award winning Nigerian writer, chimamanda Adiche has drawn attention to the racist bigotry in the American society in her book Americanah which has become today's reality.

The writer who explored the content of the book on her Facebook page, brought many to the realization that racial injustice is an age-long problem blacks face in the non-black communities in America.

The book featured name tags like "ape" and excuses given to further relegate blacks to the background as an inferior class who should not get equal treatment like their white neighbours.

This daunting reality has spurred comments from her followers.
