The Governor of Edo State Godwin Obaseki has announced his resignation from the All progressives Congress.

The governor made his decision known via twitter on Tuesday barely 72 hours after he declared that he will be meeting with president Muhammmadu Buhari and afterwards decide his next line of action.

This comes as the governor was shown the door by the APC screening committee who found him not to be eligible to take part in the party's primary elections slated for June the 22nd in Edo State.

But Governor Obaseki did not state categorically state whether he will be moving to another political party.
