TWITTER USER CRIES OVER THE RAPE AND MURDER OF UWA

A twitter user simply identified as Rene the Leader has broken down in tears over the rape and murder of Miss Vera Uwaila,  a 100 level student of the university of Benin from the department of Microbiology

The twitter user in her emotional video she shared online explained that people find it difficult to understand the trauma a rape victim goes through.

She said it is the more reason the society treats rape issues with levity.

The 22 year old victim was reportedly raped on Friday May them29th near ikpoba Hill in Benin City at her church, the Redeemedh Christian Church of God (RCCG).

The deceased had gone to read at the church as her usual practice in preparations for the lifting of the covid-19 imposed shutdown of schools.

 The perpetrators were believed to have attacked her inside the church raped and smashed her head with fire extinguisher.

She was later rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) where she died on May the 30th, 

Police has since arrested the pastor of the churvpch while Governor Godwin Obaseki calls for investigations into the ugly incident.
